East Buttress El Capitan

The East Buttress of el Capitan in Yosemite is a fun and not too difficult route to the top of el Cap. There are two are three really nice belay ledges that are perfect for taking a break and enjoying the views. Although there were a few tricky sections of climbing, there were plenty of easy sections for recovery. We did find that the route finding with the Super Topo was a little tricky, and the length of pitch 6 and 10 seemed much shorter than as listed in the Super Topo. This made us a little uncertain about right traverse at the beginning of pitch 11, because pitch 10 didn’t seem like 100 feet, and the rock formation of the traverse is hard to identify.

Other than that, it was an awesome climb, and we had a really great time.
