Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

I love my mom, so I woke up at 5:30 to take her to the Damnoen Saduak floating market on her last day in Bangkok. Just like everything else in Bangkok, it was an adventure filled with excitement and the unknown.

We took a taxi to the southern bus terminal and then took the public bus. At the market we jumped on a little boat and drove around the canals. It was basically like shopping on the 6th floor of the MBK (lots of touristy Thai stuff) except on a boat, and when the vendors hook you there is no way to get away. On the way back we got off the boat at a different place and couldn’t find where the bus dropped us off so we took some other local yellow bus that dropped us off on a random street that we were told was the “bus stop”. It was actually a van stop, so we hopped on a van to Victory Monument.

A lot of boats

About to be hooked
